Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in respiratory care is also recognized. Candidates should have 1–3 years of clinical experience in acute care or critical care settings, strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment, and excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
