Histology Technologist - ASCP

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Histology Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering accurate and timely laboratory results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate Degree with a combination of 12 semester hours of both biology and chemistry
• Completion of a NAACLS accredited HT
• One year of Laboratory experience

CERTIFICATIONS:

• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process tissue specimens for histological analysis, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting on slides.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Prepare reagents and stains used in histological procedures according to established protocols.
• Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain the integrity of laboratory results.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen processing, staining procedures, and laboratory documentation.
