Ignite Your Passion for Diagnostics: Join a Dynamic Lab Team in a Charming Southern City

Overview
We are searching for a Medical Laboratory Technologist who thrives on curiosity and detail—someone committed to enhancing patient outcomes one analysis at a time. In this full-time, first-shift position at a lively community hospital nestled in a southeastern gem, you will play a pivotal role in providing crucial diagnostic insights. Collaborating with like-minded professionals, you will enjoy a comprehensive rewards package designed to nurture your career and personal well-being.

Description – Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out both routine and specialized laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, and immunology—following defined protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure precision in results by analyzing data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining calibration on laboratory instruments.
  • Support specimen collection and prepare samples for comprehensive testing as required.
  • Document all tasks meticulously, assist in training new staff or interns, and uphold standards of lab quality.
  • Foster a clean and secure work environment while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and accreditations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Maintain your certification throughout your tenure.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for efficiently collaborating with medical teams.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced, demanding situations.
  • Outstanding organizational prowess and meticulous attention to detail, particularly concerning quality control and documentation.

Benefits

  • Attractive annual salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Extensive market-competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous time-off policies starting on your first day, as well as vacation and holiday time, with credits for experienced hires.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional development.
  • A robust total rewards package that emphasizes your holistic wellness.

Every Detail Counts in Patient Care

In this role, your expertise with diagnostic tools fulfills a vital function in the healthcare journey—one test can confirm an infection and influence antibiotic prescriptions, while another may unveil a hidden metabolic issue before it manifests clinically. Your commitment to accuracy underpins the trust that physicians, nurses, and patients place in the laboratory every single day.

A Team that Thrives on Collaboration

This position is more than just a job; it’s an invitation to be a part of a supportive community. You will collaborate with a team that values ongoing growth and improvement. Frequent in-lab gatherings, educational refreshers, and process-enhancement initiatives cultivate an environment where every idea is welcomed and encouraged. You will be empowered to initiate change, serve on committees, and mentor the next wave of new hires.
