Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, which include physical examinations and comprehensive evaluations of medical histories
• Aid in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting lab results and imaging studies
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans that address individual patient needs
• Offer intraoperative assistance that encompasses preparing surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and passing surgical tools during operations
• Administer exceptional pre- and post-operative care, which includes managing medications, performing wound care, facilitating discharge planning, and educating patients

Education

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices are strongly favored

Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant
