We are currently seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and the healthcare team during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the operating room with the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by handing instruments and supplies to surgeons and other team members during procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and anticipate potential complications, ensuring a smooth workflow in the operating room.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and provide optimal patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping for surgery.
• Manage and handle specimens collected during surgery, ensuring proper labeling and transportation for laboratory analysis.
• Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
• Two (2) years of experience as a CST in an acute OR.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Understanding of surgical procedures, patient positioning, and surgical safety protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
