Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in conducting various laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring accurate and timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and immunology.
  • Analyze biological samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Follow established protocols and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Record and report test results accurately and promptly to physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to interpret and discuss test results as needed.
  • Participate in laboratory quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent required.
  • Valid state licensure as a Medical Technologist in Florida.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, equipment, and quality control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality care.
