Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in assisting during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
  • Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, and performing other tasks as directed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
  • Monitor and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by cleansing and draping the surgical site.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and patient information.
  • Assist in the post-operative care and transfer of patients as needed.
  • Participate in the sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.
  • Valid state licensure as a Surgical Technologist in Florida.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and aseptic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
