Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Emergency Room Services to lead and manage our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitalist background in emergency medicine, as well as leadership and management experience. As the Director of Emergency Services, you will oversee and enhance our emergency response systems, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the emergency department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in emergency medicine.
  • Develop and manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure optimal operational and financial performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing and medical staff to promote a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy, to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff, including emergency preparedness planning and response.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare management, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Florida nursing license.
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certification required.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive leadership and management experience in an emergency department or similar acute care setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, best practices, and emerging trends in emergency medicine.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
