Job Summary: MLee Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join one of our affiliate Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) teams. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for devising, executing, and assessing a patient care plan based on ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. They serve as a patient advocate, offering support, information, and hands-on care. Proficient in the use of medical equipment and technology, they demonstrate technical competence in nursing procedures. They educate patients and families on essential self-care matters and may also handle the inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-procedure assessments of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Assist cardiologists and cardiovascular technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the cardiologist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiac procedures, risks, and post-procedure care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards within the Cath Lab.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations in the Cath Lab, following established protocols and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of radiology
- Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you reside.
- Critical Care experience preferred.
