What You'll Do:

  • Leadership & Oversight: Manage daily operations of the PCU and ICU, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective functioning of both units.
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor and guide nursing staff, creating a positive, collaborative environment that empowers team members to excel.
  • Quality Care Delivery: Uphold and enhance the highest standards of patient care, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence.
  • Budget Management: Strategically manage departmental budgets, optimizing resources to deliver quality care within financial guidelines.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate comprehensive care plans, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, maintaining consistency and quality in all practices.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives, driving advancements that enhance patient outcomes and elevate the level of care.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a vital link between staff, patients, and administration, promoting positive relationships and clear communication.
  • Professional Growth: Encourage and support ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities for your team.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve staff and patient concerns, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado (or ability to obtain before start date).
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
    • NRP certification within 1 year of hire.
    • TNCC certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of well-rounded RN experience.
    • At least 2 years of critical care RN experience.
