Position Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a physician. The staff therapist works to restore function and prevent disability after injury or illness, helping patients achieve their maximum potential within their capabilities. They also coordinate and supervise supportive staff, participate in department operations, and contribute to performance improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The therapist assists with budget management, ensures accurate and timely patient charges, and participates in infection control, equipment training, and safety programs.

 

Requirements

  • Current Colorado Physical Therapy License required
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association required
  • BS Degree in Physical Therapy or closely related field with MS or above in Physical Therapy required
  • 2 years of experience working with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings strongly preferred
