We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Central Nebraska. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our team of oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
- Certification as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Nebraska
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality and comprehensive care to patients with cancer
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and prescribe medications and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
