We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Alamosa, Colorado. In this important role, you will help patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. Your expertise will improve the quality of life for patients by providing hands-on therapy and personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Develop individualized therapy plans to help patients achieve their goals, improve their quality of life, and regain independence
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises, activities, and techniques to address motor skills, cognitive function, and emotional well-being
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and lifestyle adjustments for long-term recovery
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to provide comprehensive care
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and state protocols

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Colorado
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices and treatment interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt and develop treatment plans for a wide range of conditions
