What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Comprehensive Care: Provide expert care to women throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring both maternal and fetal well-being.
- Support & Educate: Offer vital education on prenatal care, childbirth, and newborn care, empowering patients and their families to make informed decisions.
- Skilled Intervention: Administer medications, manage pain, and assist in labor and delivery, including responding swiftly to any complications.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Perform and interpret essential diagnostic tests, such as fetal monitoring and ultrasounds, to guide care plans.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans based on patient progress, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families during childbirth, creating a positive and reassuring birth experience.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, staying updated on best practices to enhance patient care.
- Advocacy: Advocate for patient preferences, ensuring their voice is heard and respected throughout the birthing process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Certifications:
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado (or ability to obtain before start date).
- BLS and NRP certifications.
- Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN FHM or NCC C-EFM).
- STABLE certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Perinatal RN.
