Nurse Manager - Inpatient Services

MLR is seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee our Inpatient Services, including the Patient Care Unit (PCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In this pivotal role, you’ll harness your leadership skills and clinical expertise to drive excellence in patient care, mentor and inspire a dedicated team, and spearhead innovative healthcare practices.
What You'll Do:
- Manage daily operations of the PCU and ICU, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective functioning of both units.
- Mentor and guide nursing staff, creating a positive, collaborative environment that empowers team members to excel.
- Uphold and enhance the highest standards of patient care, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence.
- Strategically manage departmental budgets, optimizing resources to deliver quality care within financial guidelines.
- Coordinate comprehensive care plans, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, maintaining consistency and quality in all practices.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, driving advancements that enhance patient outcomes and elevate the level of care.
- Serve as a vital link between staff, patients, and administration, promoting positive relationships and clear communication.
- Encourage and support ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities for your team.
- Address and resolve staff and patient concerns, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.
Nurse Manager Qualifications:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado (or ability to obtain before start date).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification within 1 year of hire.
- TNCC certification within 1 year of hire.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of well-rounded RN experience.
- At least 2 years of critical care RN experience.
- Pediatric Care experience is strongly preferred.
