MLR is actively searching for a committed Surgical Technologist to become part of our client’s surgical team. In this crucial role, you will assist surgeons and ensure the efficient and seamless functioning of the operating room, significantly contributing to delivering exceptional patient care and achieving optimal surgical outcomes.
Surgical Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and uphold a sterile field before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Assist surgeons by supplying essential instruments, materials, and equipment throughout procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are appropriately sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards during all surgical activities.
- Aid in patient positioning and preparation ahead of surgery.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate needs and facilitate smooth operations.
- Keep precise and comprehensive documentation of surgical procedures and patient information.
Certified Surgical Technologist Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is mandatory.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) must be obtained before the start date.
- BLS certification is also required prior to beginning employment.
- Experience in a surgical environment, along with a strong grasp of surgical procedures and techniques, is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control measures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
