We seek a dedicated and skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our client's dynamic team. As an integral part of our client's healthcare team, the ICU RN will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients and ensuring the highest standards of patient outcomes in our intensive care unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, noting any changes or deterioration in health.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.
  • Participate in continuous education and training, a vital aspect of our commitment to enhancing nursing skills and knowledge and a testament to our support for your professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as needed
