Position Overview: We seek a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician to join our client's dedicated cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, ensuring the highest patient safety and care standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and other cardiac catheterization procedures. 
  • Prepare and maintain all Cath Lab equipment and supplies, ensuring they are ready. 
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care during procedures. 
  • Perform and document patient assessments and care by hospital policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the Cath Lab, following strict infection control protocols. 
  • Assist in administering contrast media and medications as directed by the physician. 
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage for emergency procedures. 
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-procedure care. 
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient individualized care plans. 

Qualifications: 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field. 
  • Current California State License as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Cath Lab or similar clinical setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations and maintain composure under pressure. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. 
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures. 
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT).
