We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership in neonatal care. Your expertise and passion will contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices, quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and patient/family advocacy.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the neonatal care team to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans for critically ill infants.
• Provide expert clinical consultation and guidance to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the neonatal unit.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery in the neonatal setting.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Act as an advocate for neonatal patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and providing support during difficult times.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and research in neonatal care and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based protocols and guidelines.
• Participate in research activities, contribute to scholarly publications, and present at conferences to advance the field of neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
• Certification as a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in neonatal care, including advanced assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and influence positive change.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Commitment to providing family-centered care and promoting a nurturing environment for infants and their families.
