Position Overview: As the Director of Quality & Risk Management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our hospital system maintains the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will lead initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement strategies to monitor and improve the quality of patient care, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Collaborate with clinical teams to establish evidence-based practices and quality benchmarks.

2. Risk Management: Oversee the risk management program to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to patients, staff, and the organization. Implement proactive measures to prevent adverse events and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Performance Improvement: Lead performance improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing medical errors, and optimizing resource utilization. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.

4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards set forth by organizations such as The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Conduct internal audits and prepare for external surveys and inspections.

5. Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs and training sessions for staff members to promote a culture of quality, safety, and risk awareness. Provide guidance on best practices, quality improvement methodologies, and risk mitigation strategies.

6. Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong partnerships with interdisciplinary teams, department leaders, and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative approach to quality and risk management. Communicate effectively with senior leadership to provide updates, recommendations, and insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and/or Risk Management (CPHRM) highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, risk management, or a related field within a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving common goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and implement process improvements.
