Job Overview: We are looking for a committed and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our outstanding team. In this role, you will play a key part in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. Your expertise and compassionate care will help individuals overcome physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges for a more fulfilling life.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Perform thorough evaluations to understand patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize evidence-based techniques to enhance patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
  • Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to boost their independence and engagement in daily activities.
  • Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support continued progress and safety.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Empathy: A deep sense of empathy and a commitment to helping patients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
