Speech-Language Pathologist
Position Overview: We are seeking a committed and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this important role within our rehabilitation department, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients of all ages by addressing communication and swallowing disorders. Your expertise and empathy will be crucial in assisting our patients in achieving better health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
- Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders, offering strategies for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
