Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our client's team in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and serving as a resource in the ED.
Job Description:
The Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department manages activities of the unit; monitors quality, service and utilization standards; and supervises the day-to-day shift activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Oversees daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Manages staffing, budgets, and quality improvement.
- Develops staff and supervises a team of 20-60+ employees.
- Monitors patient needs, resource allocation, and service quality.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers for optimal patient care.
- Conducts compensation reviews and may adjust job descriptions or pay status as needed, with notice to affected employees.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of nursing experience required.
- At least 2 years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion or other related leadership experience.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support
