We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our client's team in the PACU. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and serving as a resource in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Job Description:

The Nurse Manager in the PACU oversees 24-hour patient care departments, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services that comply with regulations. Develops clinical standards, manages budgets, and fosters staff growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 

• Manages 24-hour department operations across multiple locations, ensuring staff adhere to regulatory standards.
• Establishes and maintains patient care standards, improving processes and financial performance.
• Determines staffing needs, hires and trains staff, and addresses HR and safety issues.
• Implements policies to support organizational goals and oversees quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to PACU, including four (4) years of management or leadership experience.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing, or Masters Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
• Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, federal regulations.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• National Certification preferred within 1 year of hire.
