Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough physical examinations and a meticulous review of medical histories
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical issues by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
• Collaborate with surgeons to design and implement individualized surgical treatment plans
• Provide vital intraoperative support, which includes preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and seamlessly passing surgical instruments during procedures
• Offer exceptional care both pre- and post-operatively, which entails medication management, wound care, patient education, and planning for discharges

Education

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferably, completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices

Required Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Essential Skills
