Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on patients of all ages, helping them overcome communication and swallowing disorders. Your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in guiding our patients on their journey to better health and wellness.

 

Key Responsibilities for a Speech-Language Pathologist:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders, offering strategies for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications for an SLP:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
