Position Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct therapy sessions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing both in-person and teletherapy services and will have a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating: Assessing speech, language, and swallowing abilities, and identifying clients' treatment goals.
- Diagnosing: Treating disorders caused by injuries, illness, or other factors.
- Planning: Creating individualized treatment plans that address specific needs.
- Teaching: Helping clients improve their voices, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
- Counseling: Supporting clients and their families in coping with disorders.
- Collaborating: Working with other members of the care team and training family members or caregivers.
- Researching: Developing new treatment methods.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Masters Degree or higher.
- Licensure / Certification:
- Current CA Speech-Language Pathology License.
- Skills:
- Ability to assess patient and family needs, and to also develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards/requirements.
- Knowledge of Medicare documentation standards.
- Recommended affiliation with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
