Job Overview: We seek a passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our exceptional team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. Your expertise and compassionate care will assist individuals in overcoming physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges, leading to more fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Develop customized treatment plans to address each patient’s specific needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based techniques to enhance patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
- Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to improve their independence and participation in daily activities.
- Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Professional Development: Keep abreast of the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through continuous education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current Occupational Therapist license in California.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
