Registered Nurse - Primary Care Clinic Registered Nurse
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Services team in Northern Los Angeles. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients before, during, and after their surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will bring advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest levels of patient safety and quality care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a primary care setting, including assessments, screenings, and patient education.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans based on individual needs and conditions.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and families about managing chronic conditions and maintaining overall health.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Monitor and track patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of primary care nursing practices and patient care management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in underserved communities or diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
