Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Position Overview: As a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. Working within our state-of-the-art facility, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of cardiac care. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the process.
  2. Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians and healthcare providers during cardiac catheterization procedures, including preparation of equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and administering medications as necessary.
  3. Critical Thinking: Utilize clinical expertise to assess patient conditions, anticipate potential complications, and implement appropriate interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
  4. Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about cardiac catheterization procedures, including pre-procedure instructions, post-procedure care, and potential risks and benefits.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  6. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  7. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures and patient care processes.
  8. Professional Development: Stay abreast of advancements in cardiac nursing practice, technology, and research, and actively pursue opportunities for professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of [2] years of clinical nursing experience, with significant experience in cardiac care preferred.
  • Certification in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (RN-BC) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
