Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive history assessments
• Contribute to the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work tightly alongside surgeons to formulate and implement individualized surgical strategies
• Provide critical intraoperative support, including preparing the surgical environment, ensuring safe patient positioning, and managing instruments during operations
• Offer exceptional pre- and post-operative care that includes administering medications, caring for wounds, planning discharges, and providing patient education

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preference for candidates with surgical rotation experience

Certifications

• Unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Active Physician Assistant licensure in good standing (or eligibility for such)

Skills

• In-depth understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
• Demonstrated capability to interpret diagnostic tests and participate in complex clinical decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
