MLR.org is seeking a dedicated Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist to join our client’s renowned healthcare team. In this key role, you’ll report to the Rehab Services Manager, leading and mentoring the Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy teams while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your leadership will extend to support staff like Rehab Techs and Schedulers, while you develop and oversee clinical education and competency programs.
Position Highlights:
- 80% Patient Care, 20% Program Leadership: You’ll balance hands-on patient care with essential administrative duties, ensuring both patients and staff receive top-tier attention and support.
- Direct Impact on Team Excellence: Through leadership, mentorship, and competency development, you’ll elevate the skills and expertise of the rehab team, all while staying true to your State Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Spend the majority of your time conducting evaluations and treatments, delivering high-quality rehab care.
- Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with the Rehab Manager to maintain staff credentials, develop clinical competencies, and serve as a Preceptor and Mentor.
- Administrative Duties: Oversee new staff orientation, manage student programs, provide in-service education, and support program development.
- Professionalism: Foster a positive, efficient department environment while maintaining patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaboration: Be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and promoting a culture of safety and support.
- Documentation: Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely patient documentation, ensuring seamless communication across the care team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure: Current California licensure required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with demonstrated expertise and certification in one or more areas of rehabilitation.
- Preferred: Membership in the American Professional Therapy Association, Certified Clinical Instructor, hospital-based experience, and bilingual in English/Spanish.
