One of our clients in the lively and sunlit Southern California region has engaged us to recruit a Physical Therapist Assistant for their growing team. This hospital-based outpatient clinic is devoted to fostering a welcoming environment and is deeply committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The clinic prioritizes treating patients and their families with the highest level of care and respect, making you an essential part of a supportive and cohesive team.
Responsibilities:
- Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress. Then, in person or through progress notes, provide the results to the physical therapist.
- Confers with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
- Monitors operation of equipment and records use of equipment and administration of treatment.
- Fits patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches.
- Transports patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of physical therapy and medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills.
- Current CPR certification and BLS preferred.
- Associate degree or certification from a physical therapy
