Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our exceptional team. In this role, you will be crucial in helping patients regain their independence and enhance their quality of life through personalized therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based techniques to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
- Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance their independence and participation in daily activities.
- Education: Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in line with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred; however, enthusiastic new graduates with a strong commitment to patient care are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong dedication to patient-centered care.
