Job Overview: MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will carry out a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials. Your expertise will be vital in delivering accurate diagnoses and treatments, significantly impacting patients' health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging Procedures: Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
- Radiopharmaceuticals: Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
- Data Analysis: Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.
- Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
