Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our committed team. In this role, you will be essential in helping patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Perform detailed evaluations to assess patients' abilities, limitations, and objectives. Create personalized treatment plans to address each patient's specific needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based therapeutic methods to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
  • Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance their independence and participation in daily activities.
  • Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.
  • Collaboration: Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Documentation: Keep precise and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, adhering to regulatory and hospital standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, though passionate new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Empathy: A profound sense of empathy and dedication to helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
