Position Overview:

MLR.org is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to play a pivotal role in our client’s dynamic healthcare team. In this essential position, you will be responsible for conducting complex laboratory tests and analyses that directly support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. By working with patient specimens—blood, tissue, and bodily fluids—you’ll ensure the precision and reliability of test results that are vital to patient care.

 

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will operate state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge techniques to interpret results, resolve technical challenges, and help develop innovative testing protocols. You’ll collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely, accurate data that contributes to exceptional patient outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise Urine Drug Screen (UDS) laboratory operations.
  • Assist in developing and validating drug panels using LCMSMS principles.
  • Update SOPs, data analysis, and training documents based on lab research.
  • Perform UDS testing using immunoassay.
  • Conduct confirmatory drug testing with LC/MS/MS software.
  • Prepare and verify calibration and quality control stocks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LC/MS/MS equipment.
  • Perform proficiency testing and report results.
  • Document patient data, and quality controls, and review monthly graphs.
  • Review patient data and recommend reanalysis as needed.
  • Approve patient reports, track calibrators, and manage drug results entry.
  • Provide customer support on UDS and confirmatory results.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Adhere to State, Federal, CLIA, and COLA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: 
    • Requires a Master of Science or a Masters degree in a related field.
  • Licensure / Certification:
    • Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Chemist Scientist licensure is required. 
  • Experience: 
    • 4+ years of experience in Laboratory Sciences or Laboratory Technology is required.
