Position Overview:

MLR.org is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to become a vital part of our client's multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of complex laboratory tests and analyses to assist in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. You will work with patient specimens, including blood, tissues, and body fluids, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results critical for patient care.

 

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will utilize cutting-edge laboratory equipment and techniques to interpret data, troubleshoot instruments, and contribute to the development of new testing protocols. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise Urine Drug Screen (UDS) laboratory operations.
  • Assist in developing and validating drug panels using LCMSMS principles.
  • Update SOPs, data analysis, and training documents based on lab research.
  • Perform UDS testing using immunoassay.
  • Conduct confirmatory drug testing with LC/MS/MS software.
  • Prepare and verify calibration and quality control stocks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LC/MS/MS equipment.
  • Perform proficiency testing and report results.
  • Document patient data, and quality controls, and review monthly graphs.
  • Review patient data and recommend reanalysis as needed.
  • Approve patient reports, track calibrators, and manage drug results entry.
  • Provide customer support on UDS and confirmatory results.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Adhere to State, Federal, CLIA, and COLA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: 
    • Requires a Master of Science or a Masters degree in a related field.
  • Licensure / Certification:
    • Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Chemist Scientist licensure is required. 
  • Experience: 
    • 4+ years of experience in Laboratory Sciences or Laboratory Technology is required.
