Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify medication orders and resolve any medication-related problems
- Counsel patients on the proper use and storage of medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal medication therapy management
- Manage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other pharmacy-related projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacy license for California.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer skills and pharmacy-related software
