Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
  • Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Radiopharmaceuticals: Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required.
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
