Job Overview: We are looking for a passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be essential in helping patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life through customized therapeutic interventions. Your expertise and compassionate approach will help individuals navigate physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges, enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Create personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
  • Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology to boost their independence and engagement in daily activities.
  • Education: Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise routines, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in line with regulatory and hospital standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid Occupational Therapist license in California.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Empathy: A genuine sense of empathy and a commitment to helping patients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
