Position Overview:
MLR.org is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join the innovative medical team of one of our forward-thinking clients. In this critical role, you’ll harness cutting-edge CT technology to provide vital imaging insights that directly influence patient care and outcomes. You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Radiologists during CT-guided interventional procedures to deliver precise, life-changing diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Scheduling: Coordinate CT exams with patient appointments to ensure a smooth workflow and minimal disruption to patient care.
- Patient Care: Safely position and transfer patients, prioritizing their comfort while ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Tailored Imaging: Adjust technical settings based on individual patient needs for precise and personalized imaging.
- CT Procedures: Perform a wide range of CT procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and treatment planning scans, as well as minor surgical localizations.
- Assisting Physicians: Provide crucial support during specialized CT-guided procedures such as needle biopsies and amniocentesis.
- Radiography: If licensed, conduct radiographic exams when needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough records of all procedures and patient data.
- Equipment Management: Operate and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
- Contrast Media: Safely prepare and administer contrast agents in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff, adhering to all departmental and safety guidelines.
- Professional Development: Stay current on advancements in CT technology through continuing education and participation in in-service meetings.
- Age-Appropriate Care: Provide competent care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.
- Exemplary Service: Deliver prompt, courteous service while maintaining confidentiality and promoting a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a Radiological Technology training program from an accredited school.
- Licensure: ARRT certification and State of Arizona Radiologic Technologist license required.
- Certification: Current CPR certification is mandatory.
