Position Overview: 

MLR.org is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacist to join our client's healthcare team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing medication therapy, and working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise in pharmacology will be essential in providing personalized medication management, conducting thorough medication reviews, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. By integrating your clinical knowledge with patient care, you'll be instrumental in improving the overall health and well-being of the patients you serve.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Medication Management: Review and manage patient medication plans, ensuring safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.
  • Clinical Consultations: Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals on medication therapies, including dosing, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Patient Education: Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Medication Reconciliation: Conduct thorough medication reviews during patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to prevent errors.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving medication safety and patient outcomes.

Qualifications: 

  • PharmD or RPh from an accredited school
  • Current and valid license to practice
  • Understanding of DEA and FDA health regulations
  • Responsible, detail-oriented person of upstanding integrity
  • Be able to handle a large workload while still working efficiently and accurately.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Personable and well-spoken with great customer service
