Position Overview: As a Pathology Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of our pathology services department. You will work closely with pathologists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of pathology services. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule pathology services, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of pathology records and documentation.
• Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate pathology reports.
• Manage communication between the pathology department and other hospital departments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the pathology services department.
• Provide support for training and orientation of new staff members within the pathology department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Cytotechnology or Medical Technology or Certification in Histotechnology.
• 2-3 years in Pathology Services and at least a year in a management/coordinator role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
