Job Summary:

Join our team as a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist (MLT/MT) to conduct diagnostic testing under the Clinical Director's supervision. This role involves maintaining lab equipment, ensuring quality control, and managing workloads efficiently. Opportunities for mentoring lab staff and students may also be available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote a positive work environment and engage in continuous learning.
• Perform venipuncture and conduct accurate testing.
• Adhere to SOPs for quality control, document corrective actions, and manage patient results.
• Process samples, document critical values, and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in professional development and potential training of new staff or students.
• Utilize computer and LIS systems effectively.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of patients and staff, supporting the Medical Center's mission.

Requirements:

• Valid MLT/MT credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent).
• Proficient in laboratory instruments and result interpretation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to cater to patients of all ages.
• Familiarity with lab policies and procedures.
• Self-motivated and capable of working within guidelines.
