Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
Overview: Join our team as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, where you'll assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and vascular conditions using advanced medical equipment. Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures like angiograms, pacemaker insertions, and stent placements.
Responsibilities:
- Operate complex medical equipment including x-ray and fluoroscopy machines.
- Assist during cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the Cath Lab.
- Stay updated with advancements in Cath Lab technology through ongoing education.
Requirements:
- Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) specialized in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for on-call shifts and weekends; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
