Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel CT Technologist to join our team in Birmingham, AL. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified CT Technologist to work on a rotational schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans as per physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Operate CT equipment, including adjusting controls and settings to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Review and evaluate CT images for diagnostic quality, ensuring all required anatomical structures are clearly visualized.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting procedures, observations, and patient reactions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in CT technology and imaging practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT or eligible.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and CT imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
