Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Description:
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be a licensed professional responsible for the operation and performance of medical imaging practices to the patient during IR procedures.
Responsibilities for an Interventional Rad Tech:
- Interpret various medical imaging modalities for accurate diagnosis of patient conditions during IR procedures.
- Collaborate with medical specialists to provide expert insights and recommendations for patient care based on imaging findings.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards, implement protocols, and ensure radiation safety measures are followed.
Interventional Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent and AAS degree in an accredited radiology program required
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiology preferred
- Texas State Licensure
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ARRT Certification
- Medical Radiographer License
