Radiologic Tech (X-ray) - ARRT 

 

 

Position Summary: 

MLee Healthcare has been engaged by our client to seek out a new or experienced Radiologic Tech who is driven to provide quality services with a tight-knit team, in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.  
  • Talk the patient through the procedural steps and answer questions to lower their anxiety.  
  • Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position.  
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient.  
  • Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.  
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.  
  • Manage the radiology supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels, forecasting future needs, and placing timely orders.  
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.  

 

Qualifications: 

Education:  

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field. 

Certification / Licenses: 

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in X-ray. 
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. 
  • Current BLS for healthcare provider CPR/AED certification.  

Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of X-ray equipment operation, safety protocols, and imaging techniques. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures.
