Evenings and Nights Available / Rotating Weekends and Holidays

ER Registered Nurse Job Description: 
Utilizing the standards set forth for Nursing Practice by the ANA, the Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department (ED) registered nurse (RN) will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for Emergency Department patients. It will include individualized, family centered, holistic, supportive, and safe care

Job Responsibilities for Emergency Room Registered Nurse:

• Performs technical skills safely and accurately, and demonstrates a working knowledge of equipment
• Monitor patient’s condition, notes changes in status, utilizes judgment and takes appropriate action
• Able to continuously anticipate, intervene, prioritize and evaluate the patient's condition and requirements according to the patient's health care needs
• Must demonstrate or quickly adapt knowledge and skills related to the use of appropriate Emergency Department equipment and computer programs
• RN duties in an acute ED as required
• Revises plan of care, as necessary based on daily evaluation of patient
• Evaluates patient's outcome based on previously defined goals

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• AHA or ARC BLS required
• AHA or ARC ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• TNCC required within 18 months
• ENPC required within 18 months
• CEN and/or CPEN preferred
• BSN Required
• Current licensure in the State of TX
